Eating
Sure, you're reading this right now and you're saying, "I would never not eat on my wedding." However, when that day finally gets here, brides tend to find themselves falling into the empty stomach trap. I cannot recommend enough having food throughout your day to keep you energized and to help you beat those nauseas nerves. Check out my blog post: on some of the best food items to help you beat those wedding day hunger strikes!
2. Not Paying Beforehand
This is trick is something most brides tend to forget about. There are so many things that go into planning a wedding and those last minute payments tend to fall into the abyss of those last days leading up to your big day. Take some time in your planning to create a list of payments that need to be made, as well as, when those payments are due. Also, take time to create a "Tips" list for all of your vendors. You can find my template for here: Paying in advance will leave you stress free on the day of your wedding. Besides, who wants to be worried about remaining payments when they are headed on their week-long all-inclusive honeymoon?
3. Dancing
Please, for the love of everything that is still holy in the world, DANCE! You have poured your blood, sweat, and tears into making this day everything you dreamed it could be so you must celebrate it in all of its glory. I have coordinated so many weddings where the brides barely get their feet on the dance floor and it always makes me so sad to see them not participate in the party they planned! The guests are there to party with you, so tell them to get on the dance floor and shake it!
4. Having a Last Dance
Okay, this is probably one of my favorite wedding trends out there. I mean we all love the traditional first dance with our newly-wedded spouse, but there is a moment at the end of the wedding reception where everything from the day begins to solidify. The cake is cut, the sparklers are lit and lined up, and the open bar is closing. That is a moment a would encourage you to take in. Wait (or don't wait) for your guests to leave the venue and save one last dance with your spouse. It's truly a moment of our dreams.
5. Spending on $$ on Photography
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE spend that budget on the photography. Yes, those pictures are pricey, but photography (good photography) is an art! Can you imagine low-balling your photography budget on one of the most important days of your life, only to get those low budget pictures back and realize you pay for what you get. Check out this blog post about cutting budget corners, so you can spend big where it matters!
